The B3 Biennial of the Moving Image invites you to the opening of this year’s anniversary edition. Already since 2012, the B3 is dedicated to trends and developments in Film, Art, Games, VR/AR and AI. This year we are again looking forward to an international film program, exciting works from all creative moving image fields, a multi-layered conference with international speakers as well as competition formats around the theme TRANSFORMATION. 
 
This year, Belgian filmmakers Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne will be honored with the BEN Award for Lifetime Achievement, one of B3’s two main prizes. Luc Dardenne will receive the B3 BEN Award in person on October 14. On October 15, 2022 at 11 am, Luc Dardenne will hold a Master Class at the Astor Film Lounge in Frankfurt and will be available for questions at the award ceremony or on October 15, 2022 in the morning.
 
Another main prize, the B3 BEN Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts, goes to digital art pioneers Christa Sommerer & Laurent Mignonneau, who will also attend the press conference. Chilean artist Felipe Lavín and NFT artist Sebastian Pfeifer as well as renowned Austrian film director Johannes Grenzfurthner will also be on site, just to name a few.
 
Afterwards, we will guide you through the exhibition and there will be the opportunity to conduct interviews with the artists present.
